Togo and Gabon are the newest members of the Commonwealth. The association brings together states ranging from India to tiny Tuvalu. In Lomé and Libreville, residents react to joining a block gathering 2.5 billion people in which nations cooperate on trade, health issues or education.

Africa: Government of Botswana and National Democratic Institute to Co-Host International Summit on Constitutionalism and Democratic Consolidation in Africa

Press Release - The Government of Botswana and the National Democratic Institute will co-host an "International Summit on Constitutionalism and Democratic Consolidation in Africa," in Gaborone, Botswana from July 6-8, 2022. The summit will build on an earlier Summit in Support of Constitutional Term Limits, held in October 2019 in Niamey, Niger Republic.
